CNN Caught Lying About Comey’s Trump Statement
The media is in full-spin mode after revelations surfaced that James Comey did tell President Trump that he was not (and never) under FBI investigation for having been involved with a Russian conspiracy.
The media is focusing on Comey implying that Trump asked him to potentially drop the General Flynn investigation, but that’s a rather loose interpretation of what was otherwise Trump attempting to be persuasive in a manner of opinion.
“I need loyalty, I expect loyalty,” Trump allegedly told the then FBI director, James Comey, privately.
Asking for loyalty, according to Liberals, is now a crime.
But what’s the real crime here?
What about CNN’s false reporting? Have a look for yourself.
Oh, but wait, Comey himself is set to testify that he said the exact opposite as what Anderson Cooper reported. He, in fact, told Trump that he wasn’t under any investigation. Trump encouraged the FBI Director to let the truth be known (rather understandable), however, Comey opted to keep it under wraps just in case something happened in the future.
Legally, Comey’s approach makes little sense. The fact that the FBI essentially led the public on that an innocent party (Trump) was guilty of colluding with the Russians in order to win the election. It would seem the crime committed was the crime of not exposing the truth for the betterment of our country.
And what about the crime of CNN’s false reporting? This is a blatantly false story, or as the mainstream media typically says, “fake news.” When do we begin to hold the media accountable for incessant lying?
CNN ran a follow up story, directly contradicting themselves, without accepting any fault or noting the prior journalistic impropriety.
No big deal, right? Just business as usual for our mainstream media.
