EMP Commission Declassified Reports Say Trump ‘Preparing For EMP Attack’
It seems the termination of the Iran Deal might be based in even deeper, more complex strategy than meets the eye.
A new report, called “Assessing the Threat from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP),” details the potential for devastating consequences as a result of an EMP attack. Food, water, electricity, online services, metros, and even modern automobiles could be rendered completely useless if such an attack were to occur. The report asserts that an EMP attack is a very valid threat that could push our society back into the days prior to the Industrial Revolution.
Complete chaos and millions of deaths would be a likely result and that the “modern civilization,” as we know it, would no longer exist. It also asserts that modern man is completely unprepared both by supply storages and skills that would be necessary in a world sans modern technology and power and Internet.
“A long-term outage owing to EMP could disable most critical supply chains, leaving the U.S. population living in conditions similar to centuries past, prior to the advent of electric power,”
“In the 1800s, the U.S. population was less than 60 million, and those people had many skills and assets necessary for survival without today’s infrastructure. An extended blackout today could result in the death of a large fraction of the American people through the effects of societal collapse, disease, and starvation. While national planning and preparation for such events could help mitigate the damage, few such actions are currently underway or even being contemplated,”
The lack of food storage, such as MRE meal plans, or survival water filters, are simply not commonly possessed in American homes. Even more devastating would be the consequences of a social structure collapse. While America is the most pro-gun country in the world, a huge portion of the population either resist pro-gun stances or simply aren’t comfortable owning a gun. In this case, those with access to guns would automatically be elevated in the new social order. Owning a SHTF gun is simply common sense.
3 Reports Have Been Declassified By Pentagon
In the past, EMP attack fears have been mostly founded in foreign governments, such as China or North Korea, using it as warfare against the United States. The United States infrastructure is completely unprepared for an attack on the grid, something foreign enemies are well aware of, and EMP attacks are a warfare that China or North Korea could carry out with relative ease. Additionally, natural solar flares could potentially take out our grid and leave us helpless.
There have been three reports declassified by the Pentagon over the matter with seven more on deck for potential declassification status.
Report Claims Trump’s Iran Deal Termination & Denuclearization Part Of EMP Protection Moves
The report cites that President Trump and his administration have are attempting to rectify the issue, but Federal agencies quarreling and a Department of Defense unwilling to share information is causing gridlock. The Department of Defense, the report claims, is attempting to do its part in helping us defend against an EMP threat, but it isn’t sharing information in a way that’s transparent with other agencies who might rely on such data.
A report written by Peter Vincent Pry, which is one of the currently declassified reports, details the disastrous consequences of an EMP attack on our nation. Pry was formerly a member of the EMP Commission and currently sits as executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security. He also claims that Trump is making moves, even today, that are an attempt to neutralize such a threat.
“President Trump’s withdrawal from the bogus Iran nuclear deal, and his determination to denuclearize North Korea, are all the more important because even a single nuclear weapon possessed by these rogue states would pose an existential threat to North America by EMP attack,” Pry said via Washington Examiner.
Pry says Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has been a vital asset to the movement to secure our nation against the threat of EMP attacks. He condemned “deep state members” and some of Obama’s currently employed staff for doing little to nothing in the way of preparation.
The Grid Would Be Down For Possibly Years
This is where the report gets scary. As we’ve mentioned in our EMP attack survival guide, a compromised power grid could last for years, something the report validates as well.
“The United States — and modern civilization more generally — faces a present and continuing existential threat from naturally occurring and man-made electromagnetic pulse assault and related attacks on military and critical national infrastructures. A nationwide blackout of the electric power grid and grid-dependent critical infrastructures — communications, transportation, sanitation, food and water supply — could plausibly last a year or longer. Many of the systems designed to provide renewable, stand-alone power in case of an emergency, such as generators, uninterruptible power supplies, and renewable energy grid components, are also vulnerable to EMP attack,” said the 27-page report.
“With the development of small nuclear arsenals and long-range missiles by new, radical U.S. adversaries, the threat of a nuclear EMP attack against the U.S. becomes one of the few ways that such a country could inflict devastating damage to the United States,” stated the Commission’s report. “It is critical, therefore, that the U.S. national leadership address the EMP threat as a critical and existential issue, and give a high priority to assuring the leadership is engaged and the necessary steps are taken to protect the country from EMP.”
Don’t Depend On Government
We’ve preached this same song time and time again, don’t depend on the government to save you from such a catastrophe. While we need to push for government focus on improved and enhanced power grid infrastructure, we certainly should not depend on it. Obtain long-term food storage, water filters, a self-defense weapon that’s legal in your area, and have a bug out bag ready at all time.
Additionally, have a plan. If an EMP attack goes down, whether by foreign military strike or natural solar flare, you will be completely unable to communicate with family and friends. Have a plan that lists out where you might meet, or where you might hunker down. Remember, most modern cars are run completely on technology which may be rendered totally useless following an EMP attack. In other words, you might not even be able to start your car. Look into a bug out vehicle to learn more about that subject.
Gas and fuel might also be compromised due to gas pumps needing electricity to function properly. Learning how to siphon gas could be a critical skill.
