Sinkhole Near Kansas City Swallows Car and Driver
A sinkhole opened up near Kansas City, Missouri this morning in Excelsior Springs.
The Excelsior Springs Police were called to the seen of a “swallowed car,” visible in our feature image. Worse more, the driver was in the car trapped. The drive was not injured.
There was no warning that the sinkhole would happen. It happened at the 1700 block of W. Jesse James Road in Excelsior Springs. Read our what causes sinkholes guide for more information on possible causes.
This isn’t the first time the area has experienced a large sinkhole. In 2016, a man ended up tumbling into a sinkhole while doing yardwork in the same area.
