FBI Raids Texas Trump Border Wall Company
FBI agents have carried out massive raids across several cities in the state of Texas. The raids targetted offices connected to the engineering company that is related to the Trump administration’s border wall project. San Antonio, Houston and Laredo the most prominent names on the raid list.
The FBI confirmed the raids stating, they were “conducting law enforcement activity,” of Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation, and, “While we can’t discuss the nature of the work we are doing, there is no public safety threat at the locations where we are present.”
The engineering company has proposed rebuilding wall and fence along the border in Hidalgo county at a rate of $378.92 million. The San Antonio Express reported this just 20 days ago, making the company’s agenda public. The area is considered a hotbed for assaults and criminal behavior, particularly towards border agents. This area would also need damn, or concrete type shores, due to the vast amount of water in the area.
In 2005, Brownsville Navigation District sued Dannebaum to a tune of $21.5 million that was paid out to an engineering firm regarding the construction of a bridge that never happened, reports Brownsville Herald.
According to Breitbart:
By 2008, then Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos did not seek to recover the missing funds and signed an agreement with the firm ending the case. The agreement moved forward even after a grand jury had handed down a sealed indictment. FBI agents arrested Villalobos who was eventually convicted of racketeering and extortion in a separate case. In 2014, a federal judge sentenced Villalobos to 13 years in prison.
