Georgia Governor Candidate Shows Off Rifle On Facebook
Afghanistan vet and West Point graduate turned gubernatorial candidate in Georgia, Hunter Hill, isn’t concealing his disdain for gun control and anti-constitutionalists. Hill represented District 6 of the Georgia state Senate, and now with Georgia’s governor seat in his sights, Hill is making darn sure everyone knows exactly where he stands on the gun control issue.
During the video, Hill discusses the “weakening” of our second amendment while loading a 30-round magazine into a Smith & Wesson M&P-15 AR-15.
“Weakening the 2nd Amendment only empowers two groups: the government and criminals. I stand with our Founders who believed in the individual over the government.
As governor, I won’t give an inch on your God-given right to protect yourself and your family.”
Hill will face a steep challenge in his race to the governor’s house, including Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, as well as Secretary of State Brian Kemp. State Sen. Michael Williams, another candidate for Georgia governor, believes that Hill is putting on a second amendment facade, claiming that Hill is actually relatively weak on gun law protections. In essence, Williams is accusing Hill of being a liberal in sheep’s clothing.
“Georgia can’t trust Hunter Hill won’t swing the wrong way on gun rights.” Williams claims in a video countering Hill’s.
Is Hill simply a liberal in sheep’s clothing or does his video show he intends to fully back our constitution if elected? In politics, politicians often say just about anything to get elected, so this is never an easy answer.
