Kanye West Reverses Course, Aligns With Hollywood Elites

Kanye West Tweeted last night that he is being “used to spread messages I don’t believe in.”

West, an outspoken supporter and friend of President Trump, seems to be targeting his angst at Candace Owen’s “Blexit campaign.” The Blexit campaign aims to influence black people to leave the Democratic party.

Owens made claims that West created the Blexit logo, something that West vehemently denies.

“My eyes are now wide open. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative.” West said in another Tweet.

West also seems to back down from his Second Amendment support in later Tweets.

“I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.

“I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable.”

And immigration…

“I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.”

“I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.”

The question now becomes, is this just West being West, or did the liberal mob eventually break his will?

Earlier in the year, singer and songwriter Kanye posted John Legend’s text messages encouraging him to drop his support of the President.

Legend wrote, “Hey it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be part of your legacy. You’re the greatest artist of our generation.”

West replied, “I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought.”

There is a measure of political convenience in West’s sudden “flop” that certainly can’t be ignored. West’s sudden flop comes with a palpable measure of convenience. It is, of course, just moments before the November 6th midterms take place.

West outlasted most celebrities who lend support to conservative principles. But it would seem obvious now that the show is over.
