Kim Jong Un Claims He Can Change Weather By Stopping Blizzard Conditions
The ability to manipulate the weather has often been considered to be the next frontier of warfare for many world governments. Most people tend to consider it hyperbole, however, there is evidence that man’s ability to manipulate weather is less than that of science fiction; rather, a cold hard fact. When you consider the gravity of such a concept, the military advantage that could be imposed by a country who could potentially control weather patterns would be substantial.
North Korea’s Kim Jong Un is now claiming his government is capable of weather manipulation. He made is claim via an outlandish North Korean run newspaper article showing the dictator smiling atop a 9,000-foot mountain flanking the border of China. Kim Jong Un claims to have achieved climbing the mountain under blizzard conditions – conditions he claims dissipated into “fine weather” once he reached the top portion. The propaganda driven paper claims that the dictator’s presence was the cause of the beautiful weather. Both Kim Jong Un’s nuclear warfare and EMP attack capabilities have long been considered extremely real threats making his hint of geoengineering capabilities concerning, even if it appeals to an extreme version of government inspired propaganda.
“Mount Paektu presented charming scenery showing magic peaks and dazzling sunshine on its clear and blue waves,” the newspaper said. Kim said that while at the top, he took some time and “reflected on his nuclear ambitions.”
Kim “recall[ed] the emotion-charged days when he realized the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force without yielding even a moment and with the indomitable faith and will of Paektu,” it claimed, according to USA Today.
Kim Jong Un’s government-run media consistently makes outlandish claims, however, his EMP attack capabilities, nuclear program, and his ability to cause a worldwide catastrophic pandemic have also been downplayed in years prior. All of which are now considered to be real, viable threats. It is difficult to assess the pure validity of his most recent geoengineering threat, however, it is important to understand that geoengineering is a growing concern around the world. Kim Jong Un, at the very least, is playing to that fear.
