Michael Cohen’s Lawyer Admits Trump Had No Knowledge Of Trump Tower Meeting
Did CNN try to cover up a revelation about the Russia investigation because it validated Trump’s long-held position that he had no idea about a Don Trump Jr. meeting at Trump tower in 2016?
The answer is…pretty much.
On Wednesday evening’s Anderson Cooper 360, Cooper had Lanny Davis on as a guest. Davis, of course, is Michael Cohen’s attorney.
At one point during the segment, Davis seems to say that Trump had no idea about the Don Jr./Russia Salacious Info meeting prior to the meeting taking place at Trump Towers.
Cooper then confirms what he thinks Cohen is saying.
“So, Michael Cohen does not have information that President Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting with the Russians beforehand or even after?” CNN host Anderson Cooper asked.
“No, he does not,” Davis responded.
The interview, which took place on live-air, was then disseminated out on social media sans the excerpt you just read.
I don’t think I need to explain such things. But here is the full, unedited version of Cooper’s interview with Davis. Don’t you think as a matter of journalistic integrity that CNN should point out the fact that Cohen’s lawyer essentially confirmed the President’s sentiments and claims?
Sure, CNN didn’t exclude the admission on life-air, but by editing out this specific portion for social media release, they intentionally covered up that he said it at all.
Social media platforms are an enormous volume of all the views any news organization, including CNN, will get.
Apparently, CNN”s social media distribution is more like Anderson Cooper 280.
