Michael Strahan Rip To Shreds For Helping Matt Damon And George Clooney
Michael Strahan is a beloved former NFL player for the New York Giants. In 2007, Strahan walked off the field after having defeated the heavily favored New England Patriots as a newly crowned Superbowl winner and a football legend. He’s now a beloved host on left-leaning Good Morning America. Strahan has always been known for his famous friends.
But this time, it seems his flaunting of famous sidekicks did more harm than good.
George Clooney and Matt Damon have both experienced a great deal of fallout ever since the Harvey Weinstein debacle rocked Hollywood. And the herd is both angry and hungry to oust any of the men who were reportedly complicit in hiding Weinstein’s alleged sexual assault history. Clooney and Damon have both been considered harborers of the detestable behavior. Reports have said that Damon actually helped kill a New York Times piece back in 2004, something he denies. He later admitted to having knowledge regarding Gwyneth Paltrow’s claims that Weinstein harassed her. He claims his other ousted brother in arms, Ben Affleck, told him about the incident involving Weinstein and Paltrow years ago.
Clooney and Damon attempted to use Good Morning America and Strahan as a proxy to repair their damaged images.
“That was his legend; that was his whole M.O.: Could you survive a meeting with Harvey?” Damon said
“When people say ‘everybody knew’ – yeah, I knew he was an a**hole,” Damon continued. “He was proud of that. That’s how he carried himself. And I knew he was a womanizer. I wouldn’t want to be married to the guy. But that’s not my business.”
Clooney essentially admitted that Weinstein himself professed his prowess for harassing starlets.
“I didn’t necessarily believe him, quite honestly, because to believe would be to believe the worst of some actresses who were friends of mine.”
The two also discussed important matters such as their new projects and dad bods.
As you might imagine, Strahan being used as proxy reputation damage repair for two of Hollywood’s elites did not go over well. Strahan posted a picture of himself sandwiched between the two famous men which led to an immediate Facebook comments fallout. There were hardly any warm comments to be found. It was a complete slaughter.
Here were some of the top comments that assured social media fallout for Strahan.
How could you Mike?….two phony plastic hollywood assholes & there are more of these lowlife liars. The punk on the right (your left) wants guns taken away from us law biding people, but every movie this punk makes he’s using guns…..Screw you & the rest of plastic hollywood lib $%&wipes.
Two actors with the fastest reverse gears on their careers,,, they knew about Weinsten firsthand,,, and joined the “good ole boys” club by covering it up…
Y’all talked about how dirty Hollywood is , and these to are just as guilty
You mean two who enabled Weinstein but preach morality to the rest of us. No thanks.
This could go on and on, but I will spare you. You can view the post yourself if you feel the need for more of the angry reactions. One thing is for sure, people are not over what happened and people still feel Hollywood elite heads should roll, even if just in mean social media comments.
Will the movie industry crumble from all of the negative press? While that might sound outlandish, it isn’t unrealistic to think that blockbuster movie ticket sales will collapse. Look at the NFL’s kneeling issue for example.
Remember, Good Morning America is a liberal stronghold. But hosts, including George Stephanopoulos, had no issue smiling while introducing their rich pals knowing they were attempting to help them reenter the public perception as good to go again.
Do these look like social justice warriors introducing President Trump? Nope. This is them introducing their rich, elite, Hollywood actor friends who covered for a director now accused of some pretty bad things.
Here’s Never Trumper Jimmy Kimmel pimping out Damon on his show just the other night.
Guess Hollywood is going to help soften up the anger and outrage when it doesn’t make a conservative one of the outcast. Seems fair, and sincere.
