Navy Seal Rates Best Self-Defenses In World
Have you ever wondered what a Navy Seal would recommend when it comes to personal self-defense? Well, now we know. Navy Seal Jocko Willink is speaking out and his self-defense philosophy is no surprise to any of us at PrepForThat.
We have long preached the importance of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as concealed carry (factoring in that you get trained to use the gun). Willink believes that concealed carry is the best self-defense option, followed by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and then, boxing.
We recently wrote an article discussing the importance of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for women.
“If you are in a situation where you need to protect yourself, that is how you protect yourself,” he said, noting that potential adversaries will have weapons, they will be on drugs or suffer from some psychotic condition. “If you want to protect yourself, that is how you do it.”
You are never too old to learn Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu academies cater to the very young and to the old. They welcome both sexes.
In terms of concealed carry, it is a great idea, but only if you get the proper training and have a strong understanding of state laws. Carrying a gun can work against you if the attacker grabs you. Learn to use the gun properly, along with gun safety comprehension.
