Nursing Home Residents Protest Coronavirus Lockdowns
A group of nursing home residents living in a Colorado nursing home took to the streets to protest draconian Coronavirus lockdowns. Many of the elderly people explained that they’d rather get COVID than be lonely. For these nursing home residents, they must stay distanced from loved ones. The restrictions have left many of them feeling isolated and depressed.
None of this should come as a surprise to anyone. The elderly rely on relatives and friends embracing them and caring for them. COVID restrictions have now left them with an emotional void. In some ways, they likely feel like prisoners of the system.
