Rapper 50 Cent Says He’s Voting Trump

Democrats campaign on the idea that black Americans despise President Trump. But others feel there are many black voters for Trump who remain silent. 50 Cent has taken an opposite path, instead, announcing that he will be casting a vote for Trump in the upcoming election.
50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, shared an image that displayed the “top tax rates by state under [the] Biden tax plan.” It showed both California and New York’s tax rate hikes to soar near 60%. New York alone showed a 62% tax rate under Biden.
“WHAT THE F–K! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT,” wrote Jackson in the caption. “F–K NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f–king mind.”
According to a Forbes 2012 ranking, 50 Cent is worth near $110 million.
While there was some expected backlash following 50 Cent’s announcement, his post garnered seemingly more support than it did detraction. Heading into a contentious election, Democrats need every black vote they can get nationwide. But Democrat’s draconian views on issues such as coronavirus shutdowns and gun rights have potentially not inspired black communities.
