Famous Rapper Says Gun Control Recipe For ‘Government Enslavement’
A reporter from the celebrity website, TMZ, caught up with rapper T.I. outside of a restaurant while he was waiting for his car. The reporter prodded the famous rapper on the gun control debate and Trump, as well as AR-15 rifle black markets. And while we sometimes feel that liberal elitist Hollywood celebrities have all but flown the coop on gun control, T.I. proves that some still have common sense.
“Do you have any opinion, you know, on this whole gun control debate?”
T.I. responds with, “mmm, that’s a tough one.”
He then makes a reference to the “mentally unstable” being able to possess guns.
“I think you should probably make it more difficult for people who aren’t mentally stable to have guns.”
“…If you lose the right to bear arms as a citizen, you know what I’m saying, its easy to enslave…It’s easy for the government to enslave people when they don’t have the right to bear arms.”
“People think that the felons are the ones causing all the problems, but it seems like the ones who have bought guns legally, those are the ones who are causing all of the mass hysteria. I think that our system is broken.”
The reporter then goes on to reference Trump’s potential banning of bump stocks, and additionally, mentions how a lot of people “want automatic weapons banned.” I’m assuming the reporter, like many liberals, doesn’t understand that automatic weapons are already banned in the United States. The reporter also asks T.I. how “easy is it to get an AR-15 off the street,” which causes T.I. to walk away with a slight laugh.
The black market for guns, fueled by criminals seeking criminal enterprises and the ability to create lower receivers for AR-15s using 3D technology, would be likely turned into a black market that rivals the illegal drug black market. The fact is, prohibition is a reputable failure. Do we really want to fail with guns? This would mean that law abiding citizens would be at war with criminals who possess guns, while the law abding citizens would be potentially relegated to fist-a-cuffs.
There is already a likely thriving black market for AR-15 rifles. That said, very few deaths occur from rifles on an annual year, no matter what the media claims. Additionally, much of the gun fear mongering by the media and by liberal politicians is an all out lie. The fact is, the United States is not even in the top 10 for mass shootings worldwide.
The disarming of citizens in any country should serve as a red flag for the citizens that reside under it. In the end, murder is illegal, so the illegal acquisition of a high-powered rifle is an unlikely obstacle for any criminal looking to commit such an atrocious act. Improved background checks are one thing, but far another is banning AR-15 rifles. Handguns kill more humans annually than AR-15s, therefore, it is easy to surmise what type of legislation would be introduced after AR-15s are banned. The slippery slope is a clear and concise fortune teller for all those with common sense and limited understandings of world history.
