Sen. Graham Threatens Kamala Harris With Impeachment

In politics, precedents are a very real thing. As Trump’s second failed impeachment concludes, Sen. Lindsey Graham is warning Democrats that Republicans may impeach Vice President Kamala Harris for her role in donating money to a Black Lives Matter bailout program.

Graham made the statements on “Fox News Sunday.”

His statements come on the heels of a 57-43 to acquit President Trump of impeachment for allegations of incitement of insurrection. Graham believes that Harris’ assistance in bailing out BLM protesters equates to much the same precedent used to impeach Trump. Over the summer, Harris donated money to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, an organization that helped bail out protesters and rioters.

“And if you use this model, I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House,” Graham said.

“Because she actually bailed out rioters and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open. So we’ve opened Pandora’s Box here and I’m sad for the country?”

The claim is that many convicted violent criminals were bailed out of jail via the funds. Some of the people allegedly shot at police.

Obviously, Graham’s threat only works if Republicans win back the House. Historically, that’s been the case for both parties as part of the cyclical, ebbs and flows.

But the more robust, glaring point in all of this is that it’s unlikely any of us non-politicians get any break in the political circus. There are no winners in this show, well, at least not any of us. Unfortunately, politicians concern themselves more with keeping their power than they do with helping the people who elected them.
