The Government Has A Plan And You Aren’t Part Of It
When President Obama spoke to the FEMA at their National Response Coordination Center in D.C., for many people, alarms sounded. Obama blatantly said that each citizen is responsible for his or her own prepper undertakings.
“One of the things that we have learned over the course of the last seven and a half years is that government plays a vital role, but it is every citizen’s responsibility to be prepared for a disaster. And that means taking proactive steps, like having an evacuation plan, having a fully stocked disaster supply kit. If your local authorities ask you to evacuate, you have to do it. Don’t wait.”
I don’t disagree here at all. As a prepper website, we promote being prepared at the highest level. We believe preppers are people who not only prepare for major events like the power grid going down, but also for more common disasters such as storms. You can learn how to survive a tornado here. And you can learn what the heck to do if the dollar crashes or the power grid goes down.
One thing many took away from Obama’s speech is that the government has a plan for themselves and well, you aren’t part of it. When the global food crisis hits, don’t expect your friendly government to provide rations. But do expect them to be eating some sort of delicacy from a prepper’s dream bunker in New Zealand.
There are a number of executive orders which allow for the government, during a “crisis,” to take over our entire transportation system, the eelctrical grid (pending it is functional), gas reserves, food resources, healthcare, education, the postal service and air transportation.
For the good of the people? That’s the pitch of these executive orders. But reading between the lines exposes the fragility of all common civilians. Unless you are part of the elitist, globalist being, you are merely a disposable part of society when disaster strikes.
Society’s fragility is becoming more and more exposed with each passing day. We can’t (nor should we) rely on government. Reliance on Government is modern slavery. The ability to survive and thrive during disaster is each and every person’s responsibility. Unfortunately, too many among us are lulled into a feeling that we will always be taken care of by the Government. But nothing could be further from the truth. You don’t have to look any farther than the events which immediately followed Katrina. There was little in the way of immediate help. And Katrina is merely a microcosm that pales in comparison to what would happen if the dollar crashed, or a terrorist hacker took down our power grid.
So get to prepping, folks. Because you never know when you will have to take care of you and your family via a very limited means. Be capable of feeding yourself, protecting yourself and relocating yourself.
