Florida City Bans Guns, Ammo, Amid Chaos & Destruction

west palm beach gun ammo ban

West Palm Beach, Florida declared a state of local emergency on Sunday as riots continued to destroy the area. In doing so, the move bans the sale of guns and ammo and concealed carry.

“There is reason to believe that there exists a clear and present danger of a riot or other general public disorder,” wrote Mayor Keith James in his order.

The order is a sweeping firesale of the community’s constitutional rights, including the 2nd Amendment. The sale of alcohol is also banned. The city’s curfew hours are 9 pm. to 6 a.m.

Rioters hijacked what was otherwise peaceful protests in the area, burning vans and unleashing dismal destruction throughout the community. Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach is a mere shell of its former self, with windows blown out and ashes simmering. We are experiencing a true SHTF scenario.

But as with any tragedy, politicians leverage them to increase their control. The case of West Palm Beach riots is no different. By enacting a draconian emergency order, lawful gun owners are put out to pasture. And people realizing that it’s time to buy a gun for self-defense are banned from doing so.

Here’s the official order. Read it for yourself.

Imagine the consequences of invoking an order on people that in reality, removes their right to defend themselves during a time where politicians are allowing criminals to take over the streets. That’s what is happening with this order. And it’s as scary as it sounds.

Politicians are seeing a window of opportunity to disarm the herd and expose them to risks. And all the while, they’re doing little to protect them.
